Bastille are a pop rock band from the UK. Originally a solo act, featuring only their lead singer Dan Smith, the group grew over time to include Chris “Woody” Wood (drummer), Will Farquarson (bassist and guitarist) and Kyle Simmons (keyboardist).

Back in 2010 the group released two singles, Flaws and Icarus, which ended up being played on Kerrang! Radio. In late 2011 the group would release their first EP, Laura Palmer. Through radio plays and online promotion through sites like YouTube and MySpace, the success of this EP scored the group a contract with Virgin Records and would go on to bank slots at Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury and more festival, not to mention supporting roles for other bands headline shows.

As their career progressed over the next few years, the band began releasing their first signed content as well as taking on their first ever headline tour, supported by Swiss Lips. The release of the single “Pompeii”, the 4th of their album Bad Blood, would be a real milestone for the group. In the eyes of many this track really put them on the mainstream map, landing them at number two in the UK charts and number five across the pond in the US.

Their career has grown at exponential rates over the last few years and isn’t showing too many signs of slowing down soon. From headline tours to number one albums, the group have really made their mark on the industry. Check out their latest single survivin’ on all major streaming platforms.
